The End, Farwell my Darlings!

Hi,

My name is Gertrude Rockefeller, I am Zandra's niece. I am writing to let you know that on April 4th Zandra passed away. My aunt had grown sick since February, she made some progress in mid-March but things took a bad turn on April 1st. But before she went Zandra made sure to give me a message to send to her adoring fans and audience.

 My Dearest Glamizons, 

               As I reach the end of my days here on Earth, I am at peace. Surrounded by loving family and glam garments, I am fully made-up, dressed, and ready to meet the Goddess of glam. I just want to say to you all: stay glamourous, never let others make you feel less than you are, always be courageous, gorgeous, and live with gusto! I am going into the next life with the love that all of you have given me, knowing that this is not the end of a journey but just the beginning of a new one. 

I love you all!

The Olympics, Glam in motion!

Darlings I live for it every 2 years and here it is again, The Olympics! This year it is in chilly and beautiful Vancouver! 

The snowy weather is Vancouver makes me dream of fur and cocoa, oh how I long to drink a warm drink in my mink while watching downhill skiers speeding, one faster than the last! 

This year more than ever I am struck by the amazing athletes on our very own Team USA, expecially the glamorous women! 

Not only are these women amazing athletes but they perform with grace, gumption, and great make-up! 

Here's to you Olympic DIVAS!

Through Rain...

Blood, Sweat, Tears, and Fake eyelashes can only mean one thing, it is award season! My favorite time of year, when I wait anxiously to be thrilled and appalled by the star's fashion taste (or lack there of). The Golden Globes is first and here is my take on all the GLAM DIVAS and the GLAM tragedies!

Mo'nique--you go glam DIVA! THIS is how you accept an award, be gracious and excited and show your sass!

 

Sandra is to die for in this purple gown! Partially sheer is elegant without being trashy cathy!

How long you have waited...

My sweet Darlings!

How long has it been?! I must apologize, for every winter I vacation in France with my sister and her lovely family and I did not have a computer but oh darlings I had fun!

My niece and I made giant golden ornaments out of walnuts (see MS picture below) and strung popcorn garland! How glam is it to spend the holidays abroad!!

Well just a small update darlings...I will be posting my awards season thoughts soon!!

An Important Day

Hello Divas

Today I write to you in my serious voice.

There is something that today is about, and that is awareness, yes December 1st 2009 is World AIDS Day . I know that many are afraid of the disease and many try to ignore it because they think only certain types of people get it. I am here to tell you that is NOT true, AIDS doesn't discriminate. Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers all can and do have AIDS or HIV.

Darlings Zandra is all about love and that is what we need to show our fellow humans who have this awful disease, be aware and fight against AIDS! Being glamourous is not only about looking glam on the outside but being a glam diva on the inside, and glam divas fight AIDS!

So darlings, on this day remember those who have been taken  by this disease, remember those who live with it everyday because they are true glam divas, carrying on their lives, they are fierce!

Turkey Day, No Glamour DAY!

Oh here it is again...a day of stuffing faces, of lazing around in the dreaded sweat pants, known to many of you as Thanksgiving, known to me as a day in which glamour seems to fall into a void.

Martha, you know I love you dear but most Americans do not create Thanksgivings like you darling, if they did I would not be in this position.

Zandra is here to challenge you!

This holiday, while unnecessary to me with it's stuffings and turkey over-breeding, is necessary to some of you.

This year expand your holiday, don't just flow along with the American 'ideal'

PLEASE GLAM IT UP!!!!

Instead of having an ordinary turkey get one and cover it in purple glitter and tell everyone you will be having deep cranberry mousse instead!

Brown, wine, and deep ochre are NOT glam colors, GLAM IT UP!

Sequined goblets, shining chandeliers, and golden apples!

OR

better yet SKIP THANKSGIVING!

Save the glam effort for REAL holiday time!

Get your tree out and start to deck the halls!

Get out the menorah, glittered menorah!

Darlings, let's face it, Thanksgiving isn't really a holiday, it is only celebrated in the US and being International is much more GLAM!

Dogs Win!

Darlings, I am not trying to cause a frenzy of emotions and harsh feelings but dogs are superior to children. I will tell you why.

Now Z loves children as long as they do not have to come with me when I go home.

Children cry and they spit and dogs let you dress them up and they always smile and love you!

You may be able to understand why Zandra may not be too excited about the thought of having children considering what she might give birth to and darlings the world does NOT need another wool socked, crazed haired, non make up wearing, hairy legged gnome as my mother was.

Darling I read your little comment and you know Zandra doesn't like to bring up the past but there is something I need to tell you. I am well aware of the fact that some people do spell Glamizon like 'Galmazon' but Zandra does not. 

I believe that the word Glamizon is much prettier than it's more primitive sister 'Glamazon.' And another thing dear never sign anything anonymous, you must not hide, if you have an opinion say it, don't stand in the shadows! Life is not meant to passed by timidly! So darling next time leave your name, Zandra always does.
